The Awesome Saturn Return
I would like to continue with the Saturn theme. The Saturn Return is considered by many to be an epic event. Of all the astrological subjects that come up during readings from people who are casual in there relationship to astrology, this is number two. Number one, for the record, would be the Sun, Moon, […]
A Scorpio Storm hits New York
While driving around my little cozy hamlet of Arcata today, I was thinking about how Saturn in Scorpio has a quality of urging us mere mortals to dig deeper into the mysteries of life. Saturn symbolizes earthen work, and Scorpio that which is deep. Masha’allah the famed Jewish astrologer of the 14th century, said, which […]
The Old Man wanders into Scorpio
Saturn, in astrology, has a certain fatalism implied to him. Saturn is an old man, a devil, he is horned, he illuminates the final darkness of the solar system that extends infinitely beyond the visible circle of light of the Sun. For no Planet past Saturn is visible to our naked eye, when we peer […]
The Big Dogs Bark.
Like most mortals, I was stunned by Bill Clintons speech last night. Before it started, I was running around the house telling my wife and kids, “Bill Clinton is speaking tonight, you have to hear this man speak, he is one of the most gifted speakers in the world.” Unlike them, I am old enough […]
Mitt Romneys Chart is not exalted
It is a terrible and powerful thing to start reading astrology blogs. Thank you for your patience if you find your way here. Today I happened to read a few and both seemed to me to be written as if they were trying to convince people that astrology is just babble. Babble here means arguments […]
Lets Muddle around Neptune
Today Mercury is Opposed Neptune. I would like to take this opportunity to speak about Neptune. Often times people cringe at oppositions, but you will find, whenever they occur, either in a natal chart, or in a mundane transit, they serve to shine light on the planets involved. They bring the energy of the planets […]
The Spiritual Conversion of Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion
When I go through the day and read of the lives of various celebrities through the internet culture. Always in the back of my mind there is the question of what is propelling them astrologically. Astrology holds that we are compelled in our actions by forces which the planets either emit, translate, or symbolically represent […]
The Mystery of Venus.
Today Venus passes before the sun. It does so, not just by degree in the sky, but also directly in front of the Sun, which is called Cazimi. Cazimi means in the heart of the Sun and it is the state of true conjunction. For the condition of Cazimi to be fulfilled the planet hast […]
The Mystery of Astrology.
I was reading Stephen Arroyos book on professional astrology recently. I have mixed feelings about Stephen Arroyo, he was a good philospher and used astrology very well in certain therapeutic modalities. I believe he threw out to many traditional methods though, or did not take the time to study them well. Granted that the great […]
To put the dog on the roof or not; or an ever elusive man who could be President.
I finally found the free time to look at Mitt Romeny’s birth chart and was amazed at what caught my eye immediately. Initially I just thought to look to see if he had the good fortune in transits and directions to attain the one of the most exalted positions in the world, that of the […]
The April Easter Reading Special
As April has come I am happy to move into a new office for the spring. It will be in Downtown Arcata up on the top floor of the Garden Gate. This has been a long time coming and is something that is very delightful for me. It is partly the result of the great […]
Aries Ingress predictions for the year 2012
Im still working on this, but for now this will do. I will try to finish it by the end of the week. I am posting it because some of the things said, I am already seeing in headlines. Interpretation of the Aries Ingress 2012 using the considerations of Guido Bonatti. Guido Bonatti was a […]
