Heart Astrology

We hang by the thread of our fate, which is our moral inclination.

In an article written by Jonah Goldberg about Trump he says the following,
“The Greek philosopher Heraclitus did when he observed ‘ethos anthropoi daimon,’ most often translated as ‘man’s character is his fate.'” This statement, to anyone reasonable in thought, rings true on its own.

The phrase ‘ἦθος ἀνθρώπῳ δαίμων’ is very interesting to philosophers and astrologers. Ethos translates as morals, ethics, character, or habit, Antrhopoi translates as man or human, and Daimon translates as “spirit”, or “fate”.

A more esoteric translation could be Morality is Mans Spirit. or reading backwards Spirit is man’s morality. I am using the word Spirit here with a capital letter, as it is not the spirit of a thing I am speaking of, but the relatively unique spirit that is the individuals.

This Spirit is represented by the birth chart. The placement of the signs, planets, and houses in the chart along with the Ascendant are the Spirit of the chart. They thus indicate the fate and the morality or even the personality of the chart.

It is for this reason that there is no contradiction between astrology as an indicator of fate or an indicator of personality. The uniqueness of the phrase ἦθος ἀνθρώπῳ δαίμων then is it indicates to astrologers and appreciators of astrology that is only our ordinary dull minds which create a debate between whether astrology is psychological or predictive. By the nature of a mans morality being his destiny and spirit, it is simultaneously both.

If you would like a reading on your Daemon as it appears in the chart that is available here.
