Through its critique, Marx illuminated the potential for a society where human needs, freedom, and the full development of the individual replace the exploitation and commodification of life.
1942 to 1950 Jean-Paul Sartre’s writingBeing and Nothingness propelled forth the idea of individual freedom and consciousness as being a human right and value. Perhaps even more significantly, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted in 1948, advocating for universal respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms. Its structure was influenced by the Code Napoléon, outlining principles like dignity, liberty, equality, and brotherhood, along with civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights.
The technologies put into play during these times were amazing to! Significant human rights advancements, as ideas that would slowly be put into motion, affecting whole societies, were born at this time.
