Best wishing during the Year of the Earth Ox
The Chinese Astrology calendar runs in a sixty year cycle. This cycle is made of the combining of 12 animal zodiacs with the five elements of earth, wood, fire, metal, and water. This calendar is a very useful way of measuring and experience the pulse of these five energies in our daily life, as well as in greater mundane human cycles. Last year was the Earth Rat and it was the very beginning of the sixty year cycle. This is the year of the Ox. It is symbolically representative of Earth. So this year we have a double Earth year. The Ox represents the second animal of the twelve year animal zodiac. The Rat is the first year, thus it represents new beginnings, and the Ox is building upon the new beginnings. It was particularly noticeable with Barack Obama winning the presidency, now that is an earth ox year he can begin to build on that momentum. Obama has taken the office during a Yin Earth Ox year and he is a Yin Metal Ox. As an Ox, we can expect that he will work with honest integrity to help humanity and guide how the US will relate to the world during the next 60 year cycle. This is the beginning of a new Sixty year Cycle, and we will see him shift how the United States relates to the rest of the world, which will set the tone for the next sixty years.
In a similar way, in general for our own lives we should consider that the Earth Ox is steady and reliable. They can also be slow moving, and stubborn. This is the year to lay down a strong foundation for future plans, and to watch them then build and become strong, not for just the next 10 years but for the next 59 years. This is not a year for quick actions and get rich, or powerful quickly schemes. We are tilling the fields this year, planting the seeds that will be food and sustenance of not just ourselves, but our world for entire next sixty year cycle.
